Configuration of Norton Internet Security/Personal Firewall

This page explains how to configure Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall, to use our cinema. At the bottom of the page there is an explanation of the security implications of this change in settings.

1) First you must open the control panel of your firewall. Start at the bottom of the screen in the system tray at the right end of the task bar.



2) Here you find your firewall icon.



3) By clicking the icon, a menu appears. Click you product at the top of the menu.



4) A new window appears. Click "Privacy Control".



5) Click "Turn off".



6) Your firewall control panel should now look like this. You may now close the window by clicking the X in the top-right of the window.



You have now disabled a feature in your firewall. This feature removes to pieces of information that your browser would normally send to the pages you visit:

  1. The address of the page containing the link referring to the page.
  2. Information about which browser you are using.
You only need to disable this feature while you are watching the movie. You can leave the window open in the background if you whish to enable the feature after watching the movie.
